Take a ride on Austin's MetroRail
Capital Metro opened its MetroRail commuter line in late March. We asked riders their opinions about the rail and what suggestions they have for the future.
Listening to rider suggestions and complaints, CapMetro ran the MetroRail for its first Saturday service on May 1. The response was enormous, setting MetroRail records for ridership with 4,212 boardings. the MetroRail frequently had to turn away riders after trains filled up. Ed Easton, account executive in CapMetro's marketing department, was at the downtown station throughout the day helping new riders learn the ticketing system. Easton stopped to talk to us to provide a voice from CapMetro.
